I visited Japan over the summer of 2013 and I blow away by how beautiful the country was. During the trip I was able to visit many cities a few being Kyoto, Tokyo, Nagano and Hiroshima all of which offered something different and interesting.

My favourite city has to be Kyoto as this is what I imagined Japan to be before I stepped foot of the plane in Osaka. The Fushimi Inari Red Gates in there hundreds where stunning to see. Another sight I deeply enjoyed seeing was the Geisha around the city I was fascinated by their cultural history and how out of place they appeared to be in the 21st century.

In addition to seeing they varied cities Japan has to offer possibly my most memorable part of this visit was my first encounter with the Japanese Macaque (Snow Monkey). Although I didn’t get the chance to see them surrounded by the snow-capped landscape it was still an interesting insight to see the animals bathing in the hot natural springs.

Finally this four week trip was a fantastic experience (aside getting lost on numerous occasions) and I would highly recommend visiting this amazing country. That has so much diversity and truly wonderful things to see and do. Wherever it’s the hustle and bustle of the lively Roppongi Hills, the magnificent Mt Fuji or the historic yet tragic history of Hiroshima all of which deeply enriched my visit to Japan and I look forward to traveling there again someday.
